DigitalOcean raises H100 rental prices 30%
DigitalOcean raised on-demand H100 GPU Droplet pricing 30%, from $3.39 to $4.41 per GPU-hour, while H200 pricing climbed from $3.44 to $4.47 on August 1. The provider’s pricing notice attributes the increases to strong demand, and its live GPU rate card lists the new prices; an eight-H100 workload running continuously now costs about $71,500 more per year. Operators should file the move beside China’s 34% AI-cloud price hike: capacity competition can overwhelm nominal model-efficiency gains, so infrastructure quotes need expiry dates in production budgets.
