Uber's AV roster passes 30 companies
Uber has partnered with or invested in more than 30 autonomous-vehicle companies over the past two years, spanning robotaxis, trucking, delivery robots, fleet operators, and vehicle makers. TechCrunch’s deal tracker shows the breadth of the portfolio, including a minimum order for 35,000 Lucid vehicles and a plan to reach 28 cities with Nvidia by 2028. Against Zoox’s newly permitted 5,000-vehicle ceiling, Uber’s number says the distribution layer is hedging across autonomy stacks rather than betting on one winner; AV builders should price platform dependence and channel conflict into partnership terms.
