AWS brings three Gemma 4 models to GovCloud

Amazon Bedrock added three Gemma 4 variants to AWS GovCloud (US-West), led by the 31-billion-parameter model with a 256,000-token context window. AWS says the GovCloud release spans dense and mixture-of-experts architectures, native function calling, multimodal input, and more than 35 languages. For regulated teams following Gemma 4’s permissive open-weight economics, this adds a managed government-region deployment path without requiring a closed model, though AWS has not published region-specific benchmark or pricing comparisons.
