Chrome AI fixes 1,072 bugs in two releases
Google says Chrome 149 and 150 fixed 1,072 security bugs, more than the prior 23 milestones combined, after it put AI across vulnerability discovery, triage, candidate patches, critic review, and test writing. The Chrome Security Team’s account says its CI now scans changes every 24 hours and blocked more than 20 vulnerabilities from production in May alone. For operators building the controls described in the agent-security firewall stack, the number to file is not merely the bug count: defensive agents are moving remediation throughput fast enough that release cadence and fleet patching become the next bottlenecks.
