Cantina adds $8M to close vulnerability backlogs

Cantina launched with $8 million in new funding for agents that move vulnerabilities from discovery and triage through remediation and verification. SiliconANGLE’s launch report says the Framework Ventures-led round brings total funding to $16.5 million, while only 26% of critical known-exploited vulnerabilities were fully remediated, down from 38% a year earlier. Security teams evaluating this category should file the capital signal beside the evidence that generated patches still need independent verification: closing the backlog matters, but an agent marking its own repair complete is not proof that the risk is gone.
