Pangram raises $9M and ships a larger detector
Pangram raised $9 million and launched Pangram 4, a detector more than six times larger than its predecessor that reports a 0.0041% false-positive rate, or about one document in 24,000, in the company’s model announcement. TechCrunch’s report on the Menlo Ventures-led round found the model impressive but not perfect in hands-on tests, a useful caveat for vendor benchmarks. Operators should treat detection as a review signal rather than an automatic sanction, the same human-gated posture demanded by the first AI-built zero-day investigation.
