CopySight raises $3M for AI video clearance
CopySight raised a $3 million seed round and released CopyScore V2 to extend copyright and likeness risk scoring from AI-generated images into video. The company’s funding announcement says it has processed more than 87,000 checks since January, a 25-fold usage increase, and now analyzes video frame by frame for characters, faces, logos, and styles. For creative teams watching the legal and economic failure of Sora’s studio strategy, the useful signal is that pre-release IP screening is becoming a product layer—though buyers still need false-negative tests against their own licensed catalogs.
