Perplexity is bringing Personal Computer to Windows, an operating system on well over 1 billion devices, with local-file access, more than 400 connected tools, and an initial rollout to Max and Enterprise Max subscribers. The original verdict was that Perplexity’s persistent desktop agent needed distribution beyond its Mac mini beachhead; Windows supplies that reach, but not proof that enterprises will accept the security model.
